Legal

Privacy, in plain language.

The estimate builder is designed so project and client data stay in your browser unless you choose to export a file.

Data entered in the tool

Project names, business details, client information, costs, notes, and line items are stored in browser local storage on the device you use. CraftBid does not receive this estimate content in the free local version.

Exports

PDF printing is handled by your browser. CSV and JSON files are generated locally and downloaded to the location you choose. You are responsible for securing and deleting exported files.

Hosting and usage logs

The web server processes standard request information such as IP address, requested URL, timestamp, user agent, and error details for security and reliability. CraftBid also sends content-free first-party events when the tool opens or a user adds an item, loads a template, changes language, exports, prints, restores, clears, or undoes a clear. Events contain only the event name, interface language, and app version. They never include project, client, email, line-item, price, note, or exported-file content.

Third parties

CraftBid does not use advertising networks, payment processors, third-party analytics, or account providers in version one. Web fonts may be requested from Google Fonts; the tool remains usable with system fonts if that request is unavailable.

Control and deletion

Use Clear to replace the current local estimate, then remove the one-step recovery copy if desired by clearing site data in your browser. Browser settings can remove all CraftBid local storage and offline cache.

Future changes

Optional cloud sync, accounts, or team services would require a separate data-flow explanation and updated policy before launch. Last updated August 14, 2026.

Frequently asked questions

Does CraftBid upload estimate data?

No. The free local version keeps estimate content in browser storage. Only content-free first-party usage events are sent.

How do I delete local data?

Use the tool’s clear function and your browser’s site-data controls to remove local storage and cache.

Do exported files remain private?

They are generated locally, but their privacy then depends on where you save or share them.

Put the method into a real estimate.

CraftBid keeps costs private, shows margin live, and creates a client-ready quote without an account.
