Landscaping quote template: price what grows, moves, and changes

A landscaping quote needs more than plant prices. Quantities, site access, soil, equipment, disposal, establishment care, and substitutions all affect cost.

Landscaping quote cost checklist

  • Measured bed, turf, paving, edging, fence, or irrigation quantities.
  • Plant sizes, container sizes, cultivar assumptions, substitutions, and availability.
  • Soil, mulch, aggregate, delivery, minimum loads, and waste.
  • Crew hours for demolition, grading, installation, cleanup, and travel.
  • Excavator, loader, compactor, lift, fuel, delivery, and operator time.
  • Haul-off, tipping fees, permits, utility locating, and restoration.
  • Water access, establishment care, warranty conditions, and excluded maintenance.

Separate quantities from allowances

Use measured quantities when the design is fixed. Use a clearly labeled allowance when final selections or subsurface conditions are unknown. State how differences are approved and billed.
